Who was Niparajá?

 

Niparajá was the Supreme God of the Pericúes, creator of heaven and Earth and who gave food to the beings. He was invisible and with no appearance; as well as his wife, the Goddess Amayicoyondi.

Speaking of the Edúes from the South or Pericúes, refers one of the Missionaries who say: “In heaven lives a Lord, named Niparajá who made land and sea: gives food: grew trees and everything that we see; he can do whatever he wants to. We don´t see him due he has no body as we do…”

What is the Board and what role does it play?

 

The Board of Niparajá is composed of nine people who donate their time to the organization to:

  • Guarantee decision-making by the organization to contribute to the established mission.
  • Guarantee the transparency in the organization´s work.
  • Give continuity to the organization´s work in each one of the established programs.
  • Guarantee that the organization is properly addressed and operated by professional personnel properly qualified and trained in each one of their tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen actions in the organization.
  • Contribute with recommendations for the organization´s work
