INTRODUCTION

Fishing is a complex activity in Mexico and the world. The social, economic and cultural importance of fishing is a deeply rooted and time-honored tradition that supports thousands of BCS residents.
Because many people share the same resource, the importance of adequate and fair regulations to ensure the survival of both the fisheries resource and fishermen is crucial. Niparajá works on generating commitment to the sustainable use of resources, as well as strengthening society to be able to participate in these agreements.
